I've never been a big fan of zoos, even as a child, but when I went to visit Singapore (read my post on Singapore) I did not run her zoo.
The Singapore Zoo is one of the largest and most beautiful zoos in the world.
Its particularity is to give the animals large spaces where you can move, without bars or cages (except in rare cases).
Visit the zoo in Singapore is like a real safari.
It turns on foot or for the lazy tourist train and you see so many species of animals, including lions, tigers, zebras, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, monkeys, chimpanzees, orangutans, snakes, spiders, etc ... in short there something for everyone!
Of course, it must be said that taking an animal and take him away from his land is never nice, especially for the large predators, but perhaps for other species somehow save you from a life of escape and search of food ... of course this only applies to the zoo like this, not for the depressing zoo where the animals are in cages.
Here are some video I shot.
A monkey busy jumping from one vine to another:
A polar bear swims to the amazement of the people:
Of giant bats hanging upside down:
Of majestic elephants:
And finally a ferocious white tiger:
In addition to the zoo, in the area there were other interesting attractions that I skipped because of time:
The night safari: a safari in search of the animals of the night
The bird park: a huge park where you can admire the birds
The safari river: a boat tour to see snakes, crocodiles and other animals
Of course all these parks (like the zoo) are extra, though fortunately if you want you can make a kind of cumulative ticket to have a little 'off.
During my visit to the zoo I've done so many photos, if you want to see some you can download from this link:
