Traditional toothbrush or electric toothbrush?

Tags

You with what you brush your teeth? With the electric toothbrush or the traditional toothbrush?

The toothbrush is undoubtedly a tool that we all use in everyday life.
There are a valangata of models to suit all tastes and needs.

From the most fanciful shapes for kids to those specially designed to clean more thoroughly as oral hygiene experts from around the world.
From those hard to soft ones for more delicate gums.
We know that candy, chocolate and sweets are bad for the teeth and who are friends of dentists, as well as simple food may be coming tartar and tooth decay if not brushing your teeth, so it is vital to choose the right tool to our needs.

I have always used the traditional brush teeth regularly and I always had caries problems :-)
By this I do not just say that the traditional toothbrush is not effective, indeed, it is far, but you have to know how to use well.

Yes, because it is very important to know how to brush their teeth with the right movement, which basically should be a vertical motion that must go well on all teeth.

Here is a short video that I found on the internet on how to brush your teeth with the traditional toothbrush:

As you may have heard in this valid video in theory would not be enough even know how to properly wash your teeth after meals, but you should also use alternative means such as dental floss, interdental brushes and mouthwash ... well, we do not spend more :-)

In my opinion you have to find the right balance and I certainly am not one who apply these methods in everyday life, but of course I would not sconsigliarveli.

However, a few months ago, I switched to the electric toothbrush.
The reason is because, as I said before, with the traditional toothbrush I could not do well the movements and then sometimes I stuck some Carian.
Now it is a bit 'early to speak, but the feeling I after using the electric toothbrush is to a greater cleaning, perhaps because making him the movement for me, cleans and deeper.

There are obviously many models of electric toothbrushes, some also very expensive.
I settled for a toothbrush 30 euro, a famous brand that does not cite for not doing free advertising :-)
I can say that now I feel good and I am satisfied that it has changed the method of cleaning.

Here is a short video showing how to brush your teeth with an electric toothbrush:

The method explained in the video is obviously good for any type of electric toothbrush.

If you really want to find a flaw in using the electric toothbrush is the cost.
In the first instance an electric toothbrush is certainly more expensive than a conventional one, and as a household appliance itself, which as brushes.
If I am not mistaken the brushes of the electric cost about 10 euro per couple-on-1 or 2 euro as a traditional toothbrush.
The duration of the brushes do not pronounce me, although I feel that those of the electric toothbrush last longer.
As a pro, however, it is the fact that buying an electric toothbrush, then you can use the whole family ... just change the brush every time.
Another cost, however insignificant, is the electricity used to charge the electric toothbrush.

We would then do a long speech all apart on toothpaste.
There are actually many types and would be impossible to give valuable advice for all ... choose one that best suits your needs.

In conclusion:
is best electric toothbrush or the traditional toothbrush?
It depends!
If you know how to use well the traditional toothbrush is definitely equivalent, if not better, than an electric toothbrush.
If you are like me a little 'clumsy movements, then it is best to use an electric toothbrush.
If you wish to make an even more thorough cleaning can be used as additional tools: mouthwash to make rinses, dental floss and brush.

Good oral hygiene at all :)
