Thailand 2015: Koh Samui

Koh Samui, fifth and last leg of my trip to Thailand!

Thailandia 2015: Koh Samui

Taking the usual boat from Koh Tao (read my post on Koh Tao), in the couple of hours we are in Koh Samui, one of the most famous and tourist islands of Thailand.

As usual, arrived at the last stage of a journey, you have less desire to run, even if this journey lasted less than usual, so the first day relaxing at the beach in Chaweng beach.

Koh Samui

Kilometer-long white sand beach, Chaweng beach is the most famous and popular beach on the island, but luckily being out of season there was a lot of people.

Basic was to Samui VertiColor, a short distance from the hotel really nice and cheap beach (80 euro per room for 3 nights).
I know that there were other hotels and resorts on the beach but I thought that being busy then maybe there was noise at night and did not sleep.

The second day in Samui I wanted to take a cab and move to see some things independently, but fortunately the night before I found a brochure advertising a tour with only 12 euro each took you to see virtually everything that interested me ( taxi I would have spent a lot more).

The island tour included the Big Buddha, the details stones Hin-Ta and Hin-Yai, the waterfall Na Muang 1, Wat Khunaram with his mummified monaco, Wat Plai Laem, a lookout and a show of monkeys.

A successful tour of the island to get a general idea, though obviously to fully appreciate its beauty would be better to rent a scooter and discover the most beautiful beaches, less tourist.

Koh Samui is in fact considered by many touristy, a Thai with a sea rimini much nicer and with more nature and animals, but also with many clubs, pubs and various amusements.

In short Degustibus, I still I enjoyed most Koh Phangan and Koh Tao.

Having been there just over two days, some video I shot here:

The last day in Samui I spent on the beach, always at Chaweng beach ... at least until a violent storm has not forced us to escape :-)

Late in the afternoon we took the taxi to the nearby airport and from there with a dear flight Bangkok airlines (more than 100 euro per head, definitely above average Thai) we arrived in Bangkok, where a few hours later we boarded on another plane back to Italy.

This holiday in Thailand was short but intense, with displacements and many trips.

Shame about the weather, not always gracious, but we say that in general Thailand will not disappoint.

Having visited the Philippines sea and Thailand's beaches have left me speechless, but we say that overall Thailand has many more attractions of the Philippines, although it is more expensive.

Maybe one day I will be back, I skipped several interesting destinations and will be worth coming back to visit the Land of Smiles.
