Alternatives to the movies

Tags

Hello everyone, today I want to talk about cinema and more precisely of the existing alternatives to the movies.

To some this post will turn up a little 'nose, especially to the film buffs, but in my humble opinion the times are a bit' changed and perhaps the statement "nothing can compare to seeing a movie at the cinema" leaves something 'the time is.

I'll explain.
Now, technology has made great strides regarding the home video.
There are tv increasingly large with a very impressive video quality and audio systems are the envy of a recording studio.

So where is the difference between being seated at the film dark and do the same in the dark of his bedroom?

There are pros and cons of course.

The atmosphere of the film remains unbeaten, see a movie on film from the projector to a big room always makes its effect ... but even here, there are wanting projectors from home, certainly not up to the ones used in the cinema, but they do their dirty figure in a right environment.

The buy popcorn, cola ... all things that are edible too comfortably on the couch at home, which by the way is much more comfortable chair cinema :)

And the environment?
There you can also go to the movies with friends ... but if you have a large living room you can also invite them to your house :-)
Also at home you do not have people who cough (never invite friends sick: p) or talking during the movie.
I will be intolerant myself, but every time people beak talking during a movie or that sheds light on her cell phone ... well I get nervous and I get distracted by the sight.
At home we say that the environment is much more controlled ;-)

We then put advertising?
Sometimes you go to the movies, you sit down and then you have to put up with 30 minutes of advertising!
Not to mention the "half-time" ... sometimes it is, sometimes interrupts the scenes at the climax!
At home, unless the film is doing it on some television channel, you have no interruptions if not you want to.

Finally, we want to mention the tail?
Depending on the popularity of the movie, the movies you may find yourself having to make a more or less long queue to buy a ticket.
At home take your movie from the shelf and place it on the reader, crush and play away!
And although the movie go to the video store to rent some, hardly you find the tail.

Yes, as you'll see, I prefer to see movies at home :-)
In the past I have given my fair contribution to the cinema, but now I go there very rarely.
Let's say a small pro film is the fact that the films come out before them, and so if you hurry to see a movie the choice cinema is a must.

Currently I consider the cinema only in two cases:

  •     The film is full of special effects (eg: Fast and furious 7) or in 3D
  •     The film is so beautiful that I do not have the patience to wait to come out on DVD or BluRay.

But the second point is to say that it is no longer as in the past.
Before you even waiting a year before a movie from the cinema ended on TV or on DVD, but now in a few months the film is already on sale.

What's more, we also want to mention the price?
The film cost more and more (including 8 €), the film sold instead are coming down, so that a bluray also fairly new as you can also find less than 10 euro ... and the film can review it as many times as you want!

But we see now that there are alternatives to the movies nowadays.
Television, the alternative least favorite and I use rarely.
The DVD player and / or blurary, of which the second is a big fan.
Internet, an inexhaustible source of video.

I hate television advertising and hardly I stop to see some movies that you zap beak bored.
Perhaps the most use to see fiction.
However, thanks to the Internet, we can now also see the replays of television programs (obviously without advertising) or even wanting direct tv, where the TV is not available (read my post on how to watch TV on your PC ).

The dvd and / or bluray combined with a good full hd tv and a good stereo system are for me the official replacement to the movies.
I have a valangata bluray (bought with patience only when they go out on offer: p) and I can say I have a very enviable video library.

The internet address is instead a bit 'more complex and delicate.
Let's say that there is the piracy channel, with sites and programs (eg. Torrent, eMule) to download movies for free, but illegally, and also a decent array of sites that allow you to watch movies directly streaming.
But on this subject I will not say anything not to encourage anyone to go to the dark side of the Internet :-)

Internet can also be used of course in a legal way, there are indeed a lot of official sites selling movies to download or sell directly streaming.

Then there would also be the youtube speech, which for a while 'of time now hosts on its servers and hosts movie ranks.
Actually I do not know if this is legal, I suppose so, since they are visible to all, in the light of day.
Just search for "full movie" to be an endless list of Italian films and incomplete and often of good quality.

In conclusion:
cinema can be a fun way to spend an exit with friends, but if one wants to seeing a movie in peace now can do so directly from his home, without even having to go out to rent the film.
