Agüimes (Gran Canaria, Canaries)

Tags

Agüimes is a charming town on the island of Gran Canaria (Canary Islands).
With its narrow streets and its houses with the typical colors Canari, Aguimes is a great place where you can make a day trip.

How to get to Agüimes
To get to Aguimes from Playa del Ingles just take the bus (guagua) number 25 until Arinaga (read my post on Arinaga) and from there take the number 22 bus, which in 20 minutes takes you to your destination.

Aguimes is a small town and its old town turns on foot.
A little 'steep but nothing strenuous to be seen, its cult places are: the San Sebastián Parish Temple, Piazza San Antón, Centro de Interpretación.

The great thing about Aguimes however, is the fact that it can be turned without a clear destination.
Walking through the various viuzzole without fear of getting lost, they will be able to discover corners and squares with statues or really striking colored houses, and find wonderful sights.

Having already visited other cities of Gran Canaria, I was a bit 'hesitant to go or not to see Agüimes, but I must say that in the end I was not at all disappointed, indeed, maybe one day I will return ... maybe: p
