In August of 2013 I did an interesting 18-day trip to France.
In the past I'd been there a couple of times in France, in Paris, but I had never visited the rest of this beautiful nation.
Here are the 5 stages of my journey:
Bordeaux
Bordeaux was the first leg of my trip to France.I arrived in Bordeaux by plane from Italy in just over an hour.
Do you think that if I chose the train I would have spent more than flying (low cost easyjet) and it would take 10 times as much! ... Why then the train does not cost 10 times less aircraft ???
Going back to my trip, the historic center of Bordeaux is, for a change, UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Strolling through the streets of downtown is pleasant and rewarding, but also take a walk in the shopping street is not bad.
Bordeaux is then very easy to get in Saint Emilion train, very small town famous for its wine production.
Really an interesting tour to do in one day, even if you are not fond of Bacchus :)
Another nice trip doable day trip from Bordeaux is in Arcachon, famous sea resort of oysters.
Again, you will appreciate this tour even if you do not like oysters, because Arcachon is really a beautiful city.
With its great beaches and picturesque walks, Arcachon is fascinating and dear.
Remarkable is also the area with ancient villas.
Last but not least is the one day trip to the Dune du Pila.
The Dune du Pila are beautiful sand dunes that give to the sea.
This tour is not to be missed if you go to Bordeaux, because the Dune du Pila are the largest sand dunes in Europe.
More than 3 km long, the Dune du Pila are a feast for the eyes, it's like being in the desert.
Being such a unique destination, the dunes are obviously overcrowded with tourists, so to get the feeling of being alone in the desert you will have to make a hike to detach yourself from all the other tourists, all arriving at the same point and laziness do not go much over.
The walk 3 km in the sun after climbing the dunes (which are quite high) is quite tiring, but definitely worth it.
Among other things I read that these dunes grow with the passage of time, and have already swallowed a whole hotel that was built next to them -_-
Below you will find a playlist containing all the video I shot in France:

The holiday in Bordeaux ended, the next leg of the trip to Lyon.
Enjoy the show with the photos that I made in Bordeaux.
