You have never been to Egypt?
I will ... well, I was in the three tourist destinations of the most renowned sea Egypt: Sharm el-Sheikh, Hurghada and Marsa Alam.
Say I have seen Egypt is actually a misnomer, since even if there have been three times are almost never came out of the tourist villages.
But let's say that I still had a little taste of this beautiful country.
My last visit was in 2008, then I decided it was time for a change of air, because even then the situation in the Middle East began to deteriorate, although in fact at resorts do not run a real danger.
These are in fact well-fenced and protected by armed guards.
Out of the villages, however, the risk seems real and you feel from the first moment you set foot in the country.
I had never seen armed soldiers shoot in the streets, or even the mere fact that making bus tours need to have an escort composed of multiple machines ... so it's a bit 'to reflect ...
Know then that in the town of Nama Bay, after I was there, there was an attack with several victims, including an Italian ... so makes you think: "until never seeing!"
Attacks in part, Egypt is really a beautiful country, both for its fascinating history and remaining archaeological finds, both for the beautiful sea that laps its shores.
But as I said, I just shot unfortunately.
For example I missed the Pyramids and the city of Cairo that surely deserve a visit, but I could still make a trip to Luxor to see the Valley of the Kings and other beautiful places.
A special feature of the holiday resorts of Egypt is that they are in the middle of nowhere, so even wanting to go out for a walk there is still nothing to see.
This means that the choice of the resort is central to the beauty of the holiday.
No coincidence that all the various tourist resorts in Egypt start at minimum three star hotel up to a luxury five-star hotel with more than affordable prices, however (here in Italy a 5-star hotel is something to be rich).
The ideal formula for this type of travel is all inclusive. This means to eat and drink when you want.
In my first hotel in Sharm, I had an all inclusive, and apart from use of five or more restaurants for meals, I could ask for a drink at the many bars (large one in the middle of the pool) at any time. For snacks instead there were set times.
Mine was a fantastic 5-star hotel, which had like eight pools (from memory), several beaches and plenty of recreational areas ... was very extensive ... a real "village": p
In the Red Sea In fact, there really are so many beautiful fish to see and the beautiful corals still quite in good condition.
Snorkeling we add so many water sports, entertainment, group sports and other entertainment and you have the recipe to spend a week of truly carefree holiday.
A funny anecdote:
When we went for a boat trip to snorkel, the staff made sure to tell us not to touch the coral with your hands so as not to damage it, but then their ship ran aground and to release it they had to call a towing vessel I do not know how much damage was caused to the poor coral: p
To conclude:
Consglio everyone to visit at least once Egypt, leaving no escape, however, at least one trip to Cairo to see the pyramids and the city.
Despite the various dangers that could be in the middle east, if we look at the odds, it is perhaps more likely to make a car accident ... not to bring bad luck, eh: p
