Naples (Italy)

Tags

With almost one million inhabitants, Naples is the cheerful capital of Campania (Italy), as well as one of the most populated of the whole European Union.

Napoli

My last visit to Naples was in 2009, when with a trip of a few days I could also visit a few things that I had never seen, such as the Napoli "under":

Napoli sotterranea

What of Naples, is a very special city, unique in Italy, not only for the places but also for people.
Naples is a city that you love it or you hate it, it is impossible to leave you indifferent.

But you know what is the real star of Naples? No?
Simple, Vesuvius!
With its 1281 meters (nothing compared to the Teide in Tenerife eh?) And its diameter 4km, Vesuvius covered virtually all the postcards of Naples.
Volcano explosion in a quiescent state since 1944, Vesuvius seems to watch over Naples.
The excessive proximity of housing to the volcano, however, may give rise to fears for the worst in case of its eruption, which is why Mount Vesuvius is one of the most studied volcanoes in the world.

Napoli vesuvio

I do not have much more to add on Naples, so I leave you with the usual links to photos:
